DeleteHi Diane - thanks for posting these ... love seeing them ... fabulous photos ... beautiful birds ... enjoy the garden - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHi Hilary, not sure where all the time is going to at present but I am just not keeping up. The days are far too short and we are not even going anywhere thanks to COVID! Thanks for keeping up with me, Diane
DeleteExtraordinary photos. Beautiful birds with striking plumage!!
ReplyDeleteAs always, thanks for taking time to share your birds with us!!
Thanks Anni and as always thanks for hosting. Keep safe Diane
DeleteNice section of birds - it often surprises me that not more of these 'garden species' were introduced to Australia (although it's probably a good thing)
ReplyDeleteSorry for rather long silence, things have been a bit crazy here.
Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
Stewart I think it is good that more have not been introduced. When that happens it is normally the native animals that suffer. Keep well Diane
DeleteLove the face and colors of the European goldfinch.
ReplyDeleteHi Pam the Goldfinch is a pretty bird, but they do not often come close, and we do not see them other than for a few weeks in a year. Thanks for the visit, Diane
DeleteHello, :=) Nicely photographed garden birds. I get them in my garden too. I love the third capture of the Chaffinch. :=)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit and the comment it is much appreciated. Keep well Diane
DeleteSo cute as always!
ReplyDeleteThanks.Natalia. hope all is well Diane
DeleteIt's good to see your garden bathed in sunshine rather than rain. And to hear of your Cuckoo, the sound of spring even if they are very difficult to see. We're still stuck in northerlies and very few migrants making it as yet. I think they are queuing up at the French side of the channel.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a cuckoo here, though I hear them all the time. Diane
DeleteSorry you're still locked up Diane. Freedom soon for you I hope.
ReplyDeleteWe still have no date for when this lockdown will be lifted but we hope for early next month so we at least can go out for a drive if nothing else! Diane
DeleteGood Morning Diane. Yes, ever the boy scout with my ringing box in the car boot at all times. Have a happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI guess than camera is also always with you as well :-) Hope you have a good week Diane
DeleteVery cute! As always lovely pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks Natalia, birds are never so easy to photograph in summer they have other things on their minds!!
DeleteKeep safe Diane
One cannot let the garden go unattended in spring - it is liable to escape!
ReplyDeleteNice set of pictures.
Hope all is well - Stewart M - Melbourne
