  1. Brilliant Diane - I love the Brambling ... wonderful name. While the shots you've given us are a delight to see ... nature seems to be evolving faster than it was thought might happen. Interesting times we live in - so pleased for 'your lifer' - cheers Hilary

    1. I agree it is an interesting name I was surprised that all the birds were happily looking for food together and they all seemed to be getting along quite happily. Keep safe, spring will be here very soon 😊 Cheers Diane

    1. Thanks Anni, I was delighted that I spotted the Bramblings the other day and I have seen them again a couple of times since. They only come here in winter so hopefully, they will visit again next year. Take care Diane

  7. That's a nice species to have in your garden Diane. Enjoy the Bramblings while you can as I'm fairly sure they will be off pretty soon. I wonder if the one we caught on Friday had been in your garden a few days before? Bramblings have been fairly scarce in the UK this winter and it may be that a lot went to France and missed us out. Enjoy your Sunday with that camera.

    1. I gather that in the Dordogne that there are/were simply hundreds of Bramblings this year, so yea maybe they all came to France!! It was a thrill to see them in the garden. Cheers Diane

  8. We went bird watching recently on a tropical island here. It's incredible what you can see when you slow down to observe.

    1. Lots of time and patience are needed to do bird watching properly and I do not seem to have either. Luckily there are quite a few different birds in the garden here. Thanks for the visit and cheers Diane
