Bonjour Diane,
Acclamations. Diane
I haven’t seen any of these birds but house sparrows are around. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie, you also have many birds there that I have not seen 😊
DeleteHave a good week Diane
The brambling is unlike any birds I've seen.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen Bramblings before, they appeared in the garden a few weeks ago which we were so excited about. Enjoy your week. Enjoy your week Diane
DeleteThose Braamblings are looking pretty stunning now Diane. I think they should be on their way any minute and grab the best looking nest sites and the prettiest gals!
ReplyDeletePhil I am wondering if they think France is better than Russia at the moment..... I am sure they will be on their way very soon though. Happy ringing, Diane
DeleteBeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThose Bramblings are so very attractive to me!!!
Thanks so much for taking time to link in with us at I'd Rather B Birdin'. Much appreciated.
Thanks Anni, the Bramblings are really attractive at the moment in full mating colours. It is a pleasure to join you and thanks for hosting. Cheers Diane
DeleteHi Diane - so lovely to see the photos ... the brambling is a wonderful looking bird. I was amazed that a few sparrows have adapted to live down mines ... but the birds are certainly perking up here - spring is coming. Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI will miss the Bramblings this year when they fly North, it has been fun watching a 'new' bird this year. We have so many sparrows here which I am delighted about. They come into the feeder in a cloud! Have a good week. Cheers Diane
DeleteHello Diane. I wonder if those Bramblings are still there or if the numbers have increased as more find the food. They have along way to go and need to build up some fat reserves before they set off north and east.
ReplyDeleteYes Phil the Bramblings are still here, I commented on it this morning!!
DeleteI hope all is well with you. Keep well Diane
Hello Diane. It is very interesting that you still have many birds in your garden, including birds that should have migrated north weeks ago. I'm sure that birds know when it is right to set off - when winds are favourable and warm. It's inbuilt into their DNA, like our own in looking for summer to arrive. Hope you get back on track with your posts soon.
ReplyDeleteThis morning 13 April, I have seen Nuthatch, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Great Tit, Brambling, Cirl Bunting and of course Sparrows, not forgetting the Magpie that flits in and out. The main ones missing are Robin and Blue Tits.
DeleteI feel like time is running out on me every day, and the moment it is dry enough there is so much to do in the garden!! Keep safe. Diane
