    1. Thanks Hilary, I wish I had more time to sit and watch them, they can be quite amusing playing in the water especially if there is more than one at a time. Hope all is well, you take care also, Diane

  3. Bonjour Diane.

Bises, Diane

  4. Hello Diane. That seems like really bad news. We know there are some very odd people in the world that actively dislike birds for usually very silly reasons, a little noise or a tiny mess even. This despite the joy that appreciating birds can bring. Let’s hope your mistaken but for now it does seem strange that they should disappear at this time of year. Fingers crossed for them.

You are getting some fine pictures of Blackbirds. Ours are very skittish at the moment because they are in the thick of feeding young without giving away the nest site. We just have the one pair of Greenfinches and they too stay out of sight.

May 11th seems on the cards here too. I do hope so. We could salvage something from the missed Spring. Stay well.

    1. Hi Phil sorry time seems to be shorter than ever so my reply comes late. We appear to have a couple of pairs of blackbirds around. Fingers crossed that all is well with the Owls I saw one briefly the other day but that is all.
      Keep well Diane

  7. Bird baths are a great source of entertainment and pictures. Shame ours dry out so fast in the summer!

Hope you are well - Stewart M - Melbourne

    1. Stewart I top ours up several times a day, the birds splash all the water out before it has a chance to dry out!!
      Stay safe, Diane

  8. Thank you so much for sharing your bath photos - of the birds, that is!

This collection of beautiful birds is even more wonderful since we don't see these species in our area.
