You have so many birds come to your garden. It's nice that you have a traditional garden unlike mine on a city balcony though I'm happy I have that as I couldn't look after a large one. I enjoyed all your bird photos and it was nice to see one with a big, juicy worm. Happy Easter to you and Nigel. Stay safe. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Penny, we have quite a large garden which is hard work and we are noticing it more as we get older but I would hate to be locked down without it, Our lock-down was extended last night until 11 May. Hope that you had a good Eater despite all the goings on, we had a very quiet one but we did listen to Andrea Botcelli on Easter Sunday from the Cathedral in Milan, ver moving. Take car and stay safe Diane
DeleteGreat photos of your avian friends, the only visitors anyone has these days!
ReplyDeleteYou are right no visitors but we have plenty to do at home so we do not notice it all that much. Take care, Diane
DeleteHi Diane - gorgeous shots ... the blackbird looks healthy and hungry ... delicious looking worm too! Wonderful chaffinch and tit shot - he looks a bit grumpy ... but pigeons look well fed too, while the magpie - I call them thugs! Little owl - a delighted to see him hidden away in the rafters ... all the best - Hilary
ReplyDeleteHi Hilary I am a little worried as I have not seen the Little Owl for a couple of days and I have not heard them either which is very unusual. As for the Magpies we have never had them here before and I could well do without them but what will be will be. Lock-down has just been extended for another month so we will not be going anywhere for a while. We had the whole of June booked up for travelling Italy but that of course has had to be cancelled, Stay safe Diane
DeleteNice pictures - has the magpie lost its tail?
ReplyDeleteHope you are well - Stewart M - Melbourne
Stewart I agree it looks like the Magpie has a tail problem but it does not seem to make any difference to it. I just wish they would go away but the pair seem pretty settled on the neighbour's property. Take care and stay safe, Diane
DeleteHello Diane. It looks like we are heading for a similar day for release from jail- around 10/11 May. I wouldn't worry too much about the owls just yet. Birds go very quiet when they are incubating so as not to give the game away to predators. With luck you should see more activity when the adults start to feed hungry babies.
ReplyDeletePhil I hope you are right it is very quiet and not a sign of the owls at all. I wonder if it will change on the 11th who knows. We have lots to do so not really a big problem other than I miss the odd meal out :-( Keep well Diane
DeleteCoucou Diane,
Diane
Wonderful to know that you're still seeing the Little Owl, Diane!
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that all is well Richard. I have not seen any sign of them for the past week and I have not even heard them. I hope that all is well, I am quite worried.
DeleteI hope that all is good with you and the family. Take care, Diane
You caught him at lunchtime! Monica - The Yum List
