Day 45 of lock-down.
Common Blackbird (Turdus merula)...
Mmmm the water is a bit low but I guess it will have to do...
Maybe deeper than I thought...
Splish splash...
Now to groom those feathers...
Trying to be a contortionist...
Oops that feather is out of place...
Now a good stretch...

DeleteThose girls. Spend all their time in the bathroom don't they Diane? Looks like she wasn't too bothered with you taking those shots. I reckon your owls will be out anyday soon. Little Owls here are usually mid May early June but should be a week or two ahead in warm and sunny France.

So right but I think it is going to be many months before we are back to anything like normal. We have written off this year as such. All well here, Diane
DeleteBlackbirds are an introduced species here, but I am fond of them - always cheerful and energetic. However they do make a mess of my garden mulch - grrr.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile Mrs Owl is keeping you guessing Diane. Any day now surely? I think we have your sunny weather for a change. May is continuing like April warm and dry.
ReplyDeleteA fantastic series. I enjoy watching birds in my birdbath.
