Photography has not been easy, we have had dull grey days with lots and lots of rain!!
Eurasian blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus) hanging on the window shutters...
As above - on the window sill turning its back on me...
and looking around...
finding a wire to swing on.
Great Tit (Parus major).
Common crane (Grus grus). The main migration is October to December with them wintering at various places stretching from north-eastern France to Morocco, with various locations in between, however, the majority will probably end up in Spain. We are lucky enough to live on their migration route.
as above.

Hi Diane - the birds must feel at home with you both ... love the little Tit pictures ... while how lucky to live on the cranes migration route ... great photos for us to see.
ReplyDeleteYes - rain and strong winds here too ... take care and stay safe -Hilary
Hilary it is so special to have those cranes overhead twice a year and they are so noisy they are hard to miss. The blue tits are the very brave ones, they are always around the window and they are so acrobatic, great fun to watch, just wish I had more time to waste 😊
DeleteKeep well and take care, this COVID is not going to go away quietly me thinks.
Cheers Diane
The photos of the cranes are great captures. Love them. The blue tit is such a pretty bird.
ReplyDeleteLove the little Blue Tits they have so much character :-) Keep safe Diane
DeleteOh, how cute and beautiful! I love the close ups!
ReplyDeleteThanks Natalia they really are so cute. Have a good day, Diane
DeleteNever see cranes here Diane. The sight and sound of those must be wonderful. We're to be in full lockdown too. I despair of our "leaders" and the mainstream media for prolonging this. Digging ever larger holes in which to bury themselves and us.
ReplyDeleteI heard the cranes again yesterday but they were a bit far over for photos, stunning sight though.
DeleteIf only every one would be sensible COVID might come under control, but all the time people are daft enough to party it will keep going! Take care and stay safe. Diane
Your images show so much personality in each! Sweet.
ReplyDeleteI am really behind in my visiting today since "life got in the way". Thanks for linking in at I'd Rather B Birdin this week.
The Blue Tits have so much character, they are my favourites of the small birds. Thanks for hosting. Take care Diane

ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit and the comment, much appreciated. Keep safe Diane
DeleteJust love those photos of the beautiful little Tits. So uplifting.
ReplyDeleteThey really are happy little birds and if only I had the time to watch them more. Thanks doer the visit and the comment. Diane
DeleteAll your birds are gorgeous! The little tits have a lot of personality.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see your link at 'My Corner of the World' this week!
Thanks Betty the Blue Tits have a great personality and they are always at our window looking in to see what we are up to :-) Thanks for hosting and stay safe. Diane
DeleteYou made me wonder? Do you get Coal Tits in your garden. We get lots up at our ringing site because there are conifers nearby but very few here in the suburban garden.
ReplyDeleteWe seem to have a pass for outdoor activities with friends as long as it's just one. Just as well I don't have any friends! But ringing tends to be ones or two and rarely in groups. And now we seem to have two fine days together. Wonders never cease.
Hi Phil. we are overrun with blue tits and great tits but I have never seen any other tits (birds that is) around here. I have seen the long tailed-tit further south but not here. It is rare we see anything much different here sadly. Diane
DeleteI love the first pic - it's just peeking around the corner.
