I love the one with yellow tummy! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe weavers are all beautiful birds and so interesting to watch them nest building. Keep well Diane
DeleteHi Diane - great selection from you and Patrick ... lovely to see them here. Take care - Hilary
ReplyDeleteHi Hilary, I only wish I was there taking photos myself. Such an interesting variety in Christelle and Patrick's garden. Stay safe Diane
DeleteHi Diane. Each one of those would be new to me. Although I've been to Africa and the Canaries where there are some African birds I scratched the surface of the wealth and depth African birds. I need to check how many species in Africa as a whole. It would be a lifetime's work to see them all !! That cisticola is really smart and it seems a lot easier to photograph than our European Zitting Cisticola (Yes, it zits. Usually from deep cover). Enjoy your search for the owls. Try a call from You Tube on your phone loudspeaker.
ReplyDeletePhew how many species in Africa, there are a huge number, way beyond ever hoping to see them all! I have seen the owl the last two evenings I think the lighter hours may be helping, whatever I am delighted. Take care Diane
DeleteCoucou Diane.
Bises Diane
I especially love swallows and had never seen this one. Thank you. Some colourful birds here!
ReplyDeleteThis is a swallow I have only seen in South Africa. Such a wide choice of birds over there. Hope all is well Diane
DeleteWow, wow, and MORE wow! These are all spectacular. And for me, so very educational (new ones, all of them). And so gorgeous. Thanks for joining us at I'd Rather B Birdin this week
ReplyDeleteAnni the birds in South Africa fascinate me, but when you look around the world, there are so many we will never see for ourselves. Thanks for Hosting, Diane
DeleteI love the second bird's bright yellow chest.
