This Great Tit (Parus major) does not seem to realise the effort I go to filling up the birdbaths with clean water several times a day!!!
On the edge of the pot of mint...
Checking out the muddy interior...
Getting closer...
Splish, splash...
rub a dub, dub...
Ha, so there, I do not need your clean water !!!!!

ReplyDeleteThank you Natalia, I also had to smile at this silly bird bathing in the mud :-)))) You also say well, hopefully we will get back to some normality eventually. Diane

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by & adding your shared link at IRBB.
Thanks Anni for hosting. The Blue Tits are always looking in the window, very inquisitive!! Have a great week and keep well. Diane
DeleteIt's wonderful to feed and attract birds to your home! We love seeing them here too! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe birds have kept me sane during lockdown. They are a pleasure to watch. Keep safe, t'other Diane
DeleteGreat photos. The great tit reminds me of chickadees.
ReplyDeleteHi Marie, when I see the photos of the chickadees I have had similar thoughts. Stay safe and enjoy the week, Diane
DeleteAll that mud must be good for the pores, or something! I love these birds.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well - Stewart M - Melbourne
Aha, yes that must be it, a good mud bathe great for the skin LOL. Take care Diane
DeleteIt looked like might get some relief from the damned captivity but our politicians are determined to make us suffer. We have more rain and wind and everyone I know is totally p###ed off. At least Mr Macron is tackling one problem, or at least making the right noises. Only a few weeks to the shortest day!
ReplyDeleteWe don't actually find the lock down that difficult other than I hate the restrictions on exercise- 1 hr only and only within 1km radius of home. The fact we have to carry a form with us including date and time of leaving house means we cannot cheat. Fines are very heavy if caught out. I just wish UK would come to some sensible deal over Brexit, that will cause us far more problems than the lockdown does.
DeleteStay safe, Diane
Hi Diane - the little Great Tit is just a delight to see ... and yes they'll find a way won't they. Lovely photos ... and the Blue Tit, with Robin too ... take care - Hilary
