    1. The magpies are lovely birds but such bullies and they steal eggs from nests and they are also quite capable of killing the smaller birds!! Hope all is well, Diane

    1. It is certainly the first ones that I have identified. They were so distant when I took the photos I did not know until I downloaded what they were! I hope soon we will be able to travel again but I have my doubts about this year! Keep safe Diane

  6. Lovely photos today Diane. I'm jealous of your Cirl Buntings as they don't occur this far north. Its many years since I've seen any in SW England. Hope Nigel gets his jabs soon and that you can both get a holiday.

    1. Phil the Cirl were a first for me and when I took the photos I had no idea what they were they were, so far away!! France seems slow with vaccines so I have no idea when Nigel might get on the list!!
      Keep well, Diane

  7. Hi Diane - congratulations on the 11 years of blogging. I always love seeing your bird photos - they're special ... My SIL does some work for an artist ... and the thank you card I got is of a blue tit painted by this friend: delightful it is too. All the best - Hilary

    1. Hi Hilary the Bluetits really are the cutest of birds and they have so much character. I wish they stayed in summer but they obviously do not like the boxes that we put up for them!!
      Hope all is well Diane
