The blackbirds have been behaving like naughty children this year. They got into the greenhouse and dug out all my seedlings looking for worms!!!
See also my Photodairy with lots of flowers and insects.

The blackbirds sure were naughty to pull out the seedlings! That’s birds for you. They don’t appreciate anything! Lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie, last years youngsters also discovered the same trick but did not do quite as much damage, I will have to drop a light net over the doorway next year!!! :-))) keep well Diane
DeleteThanks for the linkup at IRBB this week. Fun, sweet, photos!
ReplyDeleteShame on those blackbirds tearing up your garden!!
Thanks Anni and for hosting. I will drop some netting over the doorway next year, that is now two years in a row!!
DeleteHope all is well, keep cool Diane
I just read your comment you left at my bird photo blog...the accident...the temp...my goodness!! What started out happy time turned into a day in hell (temp-wise!)
DeleteIt was horrible but thank goodness for the police who managed to make spaces a get the cars off the road and down the emergency lane after several hours. I guess they got all the trucks moving after that to a distant offramp.
DeleteBonjour Diane.
DeleteBisous, Diane
Absolutely beautiful captures Diane. I hope you are enjoying the spring and summer so far. To date you have experienced exactly one day of summer, lol. I hope it isn't too rainy or too hot.
ReplyDeleteThanks Penny, we have had a heat wave now we are experiencing lots of rain again and colder but thankfully not freezing. The poor garden is managing to cope with all the changes as are we! Keep safe, Diane
DeleteHi Diane - wonderful to see the birds ... demanding fledglings; and the little blackbird being frowned on for frolicking quite so much. Oh gosh - they are amazing and how they find things ... poor seedlings - not much hope. All the best - Hilary
ReplyDeleteNaughty blackbirds, they did some damage last year but they did better this year! A net curtain is going to have to be used next year methinks! I ended up planting direct and everything is doing well though a bit later than planned! Keep well Diane
DeleteHee hee, that first picture is perfect for a "caption this" moment. I wonder what they are saying.
ReplyDeleteI think the youngster is hungry and is shouting feed me, feed me. feed me!! Cheers Diane
