Still lots of tits but we did see the cranes as well.

Photography has not been easy, we have had dull grey days with lots and lots of rain!!

Eurasian blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus) hanging on the window shutters...

As above - on the window sill turning its back on me...

and looking around...

finding a wire to swing on.

Great Tit (Parus major).

Common crane (Grus grus). The main migration is October to December with them wintering at various places stretching from north-eastern France to Morocco, with various locations in between, however, the majority will probably end up in Spain.  We are lucky enough to live on their migration route.

as above.

Apologies for the lack of sharpness, but all taken through the window other than the Partridge.

Eurasian Blue Tit (Cyanistes caeruleus)...

As above, taking a drink...

As above checking out the rain gauge...

Hmm not much water down there... of course not we had emptied it! ...

Great Tit (Parus major).

House sparrow male (Passer domesticus).

Grey Partridge (Perdix perdix) strolling around our garden late one evening this week...

A few more birds in the garden.

House Sparrows (Passer domesticus) having fun in the water....

As above...

As above.

Curiosity at the window looking in - Great Tit (Parus major).

House sparrow up to the same trick.

Blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus) turning its back on me...

But it also soon becomes inquisitive LOL.

We have had a lot of rain and the window sill seems popular for some protection.
