6/02/2022 An update on the birds in our garden in France.

 

Cirl bunting (Emberiza cirlus)...

Eurasian nuthatch or wood nuthatch (Sitta europaea)...

Common blackbird (Turdus merula) and two Bramblings (Fringilla montifringilla).

Brambling male and a European goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis).

Chaffinch male (Fringilla coelebs).

Eurasian magpie (Pica pica).

Common blackbird (Turdus merula)...

As above.  (Soapstone elephant from Zimbabwe)

Chaffinch male (Fringilla coelebs).

European robin (Erithacus rubecula).

Woodpigeon (Columba palumbus).

Brambling female and European greenfinch (Chloris chloris)

House sparrow female (Passer domesticus)...

taking a bath.

and overhead flying back North (Grues cendrées) or Common Cranes.

13/02/2022 A lifer for me :-) Brambling (Fringilla montifringilla).

 Brambling (Fringilla montifringilla) male.  

They suddenly appeared in the garden a couple of days ago 😊

Bramblings left and right, 3 European goldfinches (Carduelis carduelis) central with a greenfinch.

At the back, out of focus, is a Chaffinch and a House Sparrow.
