I always love to see your small birds Diane, they really are sweet and you take the best photos of them. I'm seriously thinking about feeding the lorikeets, galahs and correllas again, but am still worried about the crows.
ReplyDeleteThe crows must be a nuisance, we had a problem with doves in RSA they used to arrive in what seemed like hundreds and the little birds lost out! I am sure it is worth trying again. Keep well Diane
DeleteGood to see you're back on (bird) song with posts. Now I am very jealous that you should see Cranes overhead. That's some garden tick, and the nearest I have is a Grey Heron on a neighbour's roof.
ReplyDeletePhil we are obviously right in the flight path, we hear and see the cranes twice a year without fail. The only grey heron I have seen here is on the small lake at one of our close local chateaux. The other one I guess you do not get in your garden are the hoopoes, thay make me smile most years as well. Have a good week Diane
DeleteLovely!!! Looking forward to this trek one day!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you make it. Have a good day and thanks for the comment. Diane
DeleteHello! Wonderful serie of birds. Great photos. I like Blue Tit very much.
ReplyDeleteThe Blue tits are so small but they have masses of character 😉 Thanks for the visit and the comment, Diane
DeleteCollard Doves and House Sparrows are aggressive invaders in the United States. I do love the tits.
ReplyDeleteWe only have a few Collard doves and the House Sparroes are on the decrease here so we need to look after them. Have a good day Beth, Diane
DeleteReally gorgeous close-up shots!
ReplyDeleteThnaks very much, comment apprciated. Take care Diane
DeleteThat’s a great number of Cranes. How lucky.
ReplyDeleteI heard them before I saw them but we see them most years we seem to be on the flight path 😉 Have a good day Diane
