ReplyDeleteI just loved the expression on the face of the sparrow ๐ Have a good weekend Diane
DeleteBeautiful finches! Birds have been scarce here all winter, but the past couple of weeks I've seen them coming back.
ReplyDeleteWe have had masses of sparrows and tits over winter, but no finches which is unusual. Happy weekend Diane
DeleteEven Greenfinch and Goldfinch are partially migratory Diane. I think this may be signs of spring for you. Have great birding weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe used to have them here for winter so it makes me wonder where they now go and perhaps the have a better restaurant than what I provide!! Hope your weekend is a good one Diane
DeleteWonderful pictures. We have both of these finches here as introduced species, but I down see them very often.

You have so many beautidul birds in Australia why would anyone want to introduce new species!! Cheers Diane
DeleteOh beautiful Diane! Of those you've photographed, we only see the sparrow! The finches are beautiful. I thank you for taking time to show us birders these photos & leaving a comment at I'd Rather B Birdin' today. Have a great birding week ahead!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anni, not much birding going on, we seem to be extra busy and I am also not feeling so well with a very warning sore throat!! Hope you are well, Diane
DeleteIf both have returned it must be a sign that spring is in the air?
ReplyDeleteI wish, the weather keeps changing!! Cheers Diane
DeleteYour small birds are gorgeous Diane, love to see them here ๐
