All photos taken in our garden.

I am only just starting to feel better after the very bad flu/cold and I have hardly been out at all, now my husband has it, we will not be going far for a few more days at least!

Great tit (Parus major) at the window.

As above.

Eurasian blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus).

Dunnock (Prunella modularis).

Common chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs).

Is this still the same one that the Little Owl has missed or do we have a whole family of them?

  1. Many birds are looking at their best right now. Just like you show us Diane. Sorry to hear about your flu. Take a drop of brandy with fresh lemon when you go to bed. It works every time for us.

    1. Ha ha, I have just had a cognac, but I would not dare spoil it with lemon. I am not adverse though to spoiling a hot whiskey with lemon and honey. I struggle with bird photography in spring and summer, so much easier in winter when they are looking for food! I am feeling almost normal but Nigel is a week behind me!! Hope you have a good week Diane

  2. Great shots. You have a wonderful garden if it brings all this wildlife to eat and enjoy. Have a great week ahead, Diane :-)

  4. MAGNIFICENT!! I love them all, but I have to be honest and say that 1st photo is a perfect portrait! That one should be enlarged and framed ... center stage.
Thanks so much for enlightening us this week at I'd Rather B Birdin'...be well soon.

  5. Wonderful selection of birds. I really like the Eurasian blue tit. My granddaughter went to Europe last summer and brought me back a replica as a souvenir.

  7. Get well soon, both of you....lovely yard birds. And I’m glad you showed the vole again (or another one) he looks like something from a Beatrix Potter story! I kinda knew a vile was a mouselike creature, but am not sure I’d ever seen a pic of one, until your previous post.

    1. Hi Sallie, the vole is very cute, it has a shorter tail than a mouse and smaller ears. Keep well Diane

  8. I must look up Bank Vole. Our small mammals are virtually impossible to see so I would struggle to ID any vole.

    It's warming up here (supposedly).

    1. This is just lucky as he is coming on to the verandah to eat the food. This last shot I was standing by the open front door waiting for a visit so I managed it without taking it through the window. Looks like Easter might be good weather 🌞 Cheers Diane
