Is that sunshine I detect? I like those Greenfinch photos - it's so difficult to see Greenfinches nowadays since they became scarce.
ReplyDeletePhil we had a few hours of watery sunshine yesterday, but rain the night before and rain last night as well. It is getting boring this lousy weather and what am I doing still wearing jerseys in June? We have nothing like as many Greenfinches as we used to have but there are a few still around. Happy Sunday, Diane
DeleteIsn't that egg the prettiest color! Love seeing the Greenfinches too! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty egg sad that it will never hatch! Hope all well Diane
DeleteYou have a nice selection of birds in your yard!
ReplyDeleteTo find a nest like this one would be thrilling! Your oigeon is so colorful...I'd like to find one like that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us at I'd Rather B Birdin' this week!
I could wish for a lot more 😉 Some we rarely see some are always here. Hope all is well with you Diane
DeleteThat Woodpig is living up to the name we gave them as kids I think!

Haha, first time I have heard them called that but they are pigs, luckily we only ever see two of them here. Presumably they are sterile or both the same sex which is good!! Cheers Diane
DeleteIt looks like the nest was successful. Trampled down by the youngsters and one egg that never hatched?
ReplyDeleteI hope you are right, I will never know the true answer 😒 Hope all is well over there, keep well Diane
DeleteWonderful garden visitors. And cute little nest. We had a nesting hummingbird in the porch of a vacation rental last week.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky, hope you saw some action from the nest. Thanks for the visit, Diane
DeleteI love seeing all the birds playing in our birdie bath too....such fun they have .....
ReplyDeleteI wish I had more time to watch the bird bath, they can be so funny at times. Thanks for the visit, cheers Diane
DeleteAfter seeing exotic birds the ordinary ones are still fun to watch!

Thanks Betty, yes I have to agree, but having lived in Africa for 50 years it took me a while to get used to European garden birds! Have a good weekend, Diane
