  1. I get the Black Swan and Pelican here - but neither serve decent beer!

  4. Hi Diane. British pubs with non-British bird names? Seems about the norm for pub names but "The Jackdaw" would be a better one.

    Pleased you made it through the snow back to the relative warmth of France.

    1. The Jackdaw would be good but not sure I have ever noticed one called that!!! It was not a nice drive, heavy snow between Rouen and Le Mans took much concentration and trucks driving in the middle of the road!! Keep warm and dry, Diane

  5. A delightful post, Diane. I hope that all was well when you got back home after your long spell away. I suspect that you'll find far more to photograph now ! ;-}

      Thanks Richard, the weather is going to have to change for bird photography but I have a few shots for next week from both places.
      Wishing you all the best and keep warm, Diane

  6. Marvelous birds this week! We saw a pair of black swans...in TEXAS! In the wild no less. I think they were either zoo escapees or someone released them.

    Thanks for joining us this weekend & sharing at I'd Rather B Birdin
