Photos again were taken all very close to the house, no chance to go further afield. Thankfully my FIL is back home, and although we are all not 100%, things seem to be going in the right direction. One more week to go before we return home.

House sparrow (Passer domesticus) male.

You take such clear sharp photos! Every one is beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind comment, it is appreciated. Have a good day Diane
DeletePleased to hear that everything is going as well as can be expected. Like you say Dine, common birds but ones we birders tend to ignore. Egyptian Goose is very much an African bird. Here in the UK it is on the edge of its European range and probably the population 99% from feral stock. A bit "plastic" here.
ReplyDeleteI really have had no chance to take any birds that are that interesting, but I have to say it is fun seeing the water birds that I never see too often at home. We are not that close to anywhere to see them. Thanks for the comment, hope you have a good week and that the weather is kind to us all. Diane
DeleteGlad everything is headed in the right direction now, Diane! Your photos are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt is slow, but yes getting better!! Thanks for the comment Diane
DeleteExcellent bird photos! Love the Eurasian blue tit. We don't have those here.
ReplyDeleteThe Blue tits are so full of character, I love them, Have a good day Diane
DeleteAre you kidding? To me ALL YOUR birds are interesting. And ever so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI'm here from the link you shared at I'd Rather B Birdin this week and want to thank you for dropping by to play along. (Tho, I'm on my smartphone & logged in as Hootin Anni)
Thanks I have registered that I'd Rather B Birding and Hoottin Anni is one an the same. I have just found 6 weeks in the same spot I have little change but glad you love them. Take care Diane
DeleteAnother nice collection of birds - and I don't mind that they are common!
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
PS: sorry for slow reply, I have been away.
Glad that you like the more common birds as I have had little choice while here. I had a slight variation today but still common!! Cheers Diane
DeleteThey are all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam you comments are always welcome. Take care Diane
DeleteThat first one looks so snuggly - like its all rugged up for the winter.
ReplyDeleteThey always look so fluffed up in winter, they are so small in summer when the feathers are flat 😉 Cheers Diane
DeleteLoved all these fabulous birds, thanks Diane. I am happy to hear your FIL is heading in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteIt is all very slow Denise but there is some improvement thankfully. Certainly, the birds here are a change from home as we have no water nearby. Keep well Diane
DeleteThere's nothing wrong with 'common' birds, Diane, and sometimes it does us no harm to be reminded how splendid even the most common birds are - and you have done this admirably! It also has the benefit that it stops your photographic talents from going rusty - and that would be a tragedy. So keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteMy very best wishes to you, Nigel, and FiL. Have a safe journey home - - - Richard
